- 커밋: 7670b41(단계 1·2), e6a46cd(R1: stop exit 1 이 stop 뒤에도 남), 8d26106(R2: passthrough 코드는 표에 있어야 함)
### resume Workflow (base resume SKILL.md:59-118) → resume_session.sh
|---|---|
| 세션 ID 해석 (`resolve_session_id.sh --session`) | resume_session.sh:111-112 |
| Class A fresh-spawn 폴백 / claude·grok exit 1 | :122-130 (spawn-spec :173-184) |
| HERDR_SESSION_NAME·MAM_WS_LABEL 해석 | :132-144 |
attach 만 스크립트에 없는 단계(= (b))인데, 문서는 이를 지우지 않고 "It never attaches; attaching is a separate step: `herdr agent attach <name>`" 로 남겼다(resume SKILL.md Workflow 아래 문단, Case 3 정정).
### stop pre-flight (base stop:38-63) → stop_session.sh
### create pre-flight (base create:35-52) → create_session.sh
### create Workflow (base create:168-220) → create_session.sh
create:217·resume:103·stop:127 (사후 확인), monitor:182 (에이전트 폴링 지침), status:30 (status.sh 에 has_real_herdr 검사가 없음 — status.sh:22 는 YAML 만).
0 = :188; 1 = :99·:142 + heredoc :310(R7); 2 = :86·:89·:95·:98·:121; 3 = :198; 4 = :281.
- status `--json` 키: reconcile.sh:1081-1088 의 6개 최상위 키 + status.sh:213-232 의 sessions_detail 17개 키와 정확히 일치. resume_state 값 yes/MISSING/scan/no 도 status.sh 의 resume_on_disk 반환값과 일치.
샌드박스 실행(임시 HOME·WORKSPACE_ROOT·AGENT_SESSIONS_YAML, `env -i`, herdr 미호출 경로만):
| 실행 | rc | 표 |
|---|---|---|
| stop `--purge-conversation` (no --yes) | 3 | 3 ✓ |
| stop 미등록 세션 | 1 | 1 ✓ |
| stop `--mode x` | 2 | 2 ✓ |
| create `--agent foo` | 2 | 2 ✓ |
|---|---|
| create `exit 43`→`exit 44` | 2 failed ✓ |
추출 규칙: `(?<![\w.])exit\s+(\d+)` 은 `sys.exit(7)`(stop:139) 을 세지 않고, heredoc 본문은 `SystemExit(N)` 만 passthrough 로 모은다. `<<<` here-string 은 lookbehind 로 제외된다. 기존 가드 test_tier2_component.py::test_comp_docs_stop_examples_pass_agent(stop 예제 ≥3, 모두 --agent)는 아래 테스트 실행에서 통과한다.
## 5. 범위
`git diff --stat 45d1621 8d26106`: SKILL.md 4개 + tests/data/skill_code_blocks.json + tests/test_issue42_skill_blocks.py.
## 7. 항목 6 — purge 기준 실패
이 호스트에서 검증 경로의 tests/test_issue10_13_purge.py: **23 passed**.
## 8. 테스트
지정 6개 파일(test_issue42_skill_blocks, test_tier2_component, test_orc_onboard, test_loop_cli, test_o1_rebuttal, test_version_consistency): **129 passed / 0 failed / 1 skipped** (296 s, rc 0). skip 은 test_claude_skills_link_resolves_to_agents_skills(워크트리에 .claude/skills 없음 — 브리프상 정상). test_issue42_skill_blocks.py 단독: 28 passed / 1 skipped.

`git diff --stat 8d26106 17eba09 -- .
|---|---|---|
| codex R1 (attach 대상 서버) | resume SKILL.md Case 3·Workflow 설명·When NOT 이 `herdr --session <server> agent attach <name>` 로 서버를 명시, Verification 이 행에서 SERVER 를 읽어 `--session "$SERVER"` 사용 | ✓ 아래 §2 |
| codex R2 (--dry-run 문구) | create·resume 옵션 표: "no spawn and no registry (YAML/DB) update; 앞선 검사는 돌고 macOS 에서 quarantine 속성을 지운다" | ✓ create_session.sh:196 xattr → :280 dry-run 종료, spawn() 은 :264-274 정의만, YAML 쓰기 :305·:491 은 그 뒤. resume_session.sh:169 xattr → :225 dry-run 종료, spawn :237 |
|---|---|
| `herdr --help` | ~/.config/herdr/ (기본 서버) |
| `herdr --session zz-probe --help` | ~/.config/herdr/sessions/zz-probe/ |
| `herdr --session default --help` | ~/.config/herdr/ (기본 서버와 동일) |
| `HERDR_SESSION=zz-probe herdr --help` | sessions/zz-probe/ |
| `HERDR_SESSION_NAME=zz-probe herdr --help` | ~/.config/herdr/ (무시됨) |
| `herdr --session "" --help` | `error: session name cannot be empty` |
행 자체가 없음 → python IndexError, SERVER="" → herdr 가 "session name cannot be empty" 로 즉시 실패. 행 기록자는 create_session.sh:524-525, update_yaml_resumed.sh:140-141·155-156 에서 herdr_session 과 herdr_server 를 항상 같이 쓰므로 herdr_session 만 읽어도 된다.
|---|---|---|
31 passed / 1 skipped | — |
- test_a_returned_body_is_caught_reindented_and_with_the_inventory_updated 는 가드 함수 자체를 현재 stop 블록으로 검사한다(정확 sha + 재들여쓰기 fingerprint) — 유효.
- **N2 문구 정밀도**: resume SKILL.md Workflow 설명의 "the native `herdr` binary does not route on environment variables" 는 정확히는 "`HERDR_SESSION_NAME` 으로는 라우팅하지 않는다"이다 — native herdr 는 `HERDR_SESSION` 을 읽는다(§2 표).
## 6. 테스트
검증 경로에서 지정 6개 파일: **132 passed / 0 failed / 1 skipped** (300 s, rc 0). skip 은 test_claude_skills_link_resolves_to_agents_skills(워크트리, 정상). test_issue42_skill_blocks.py 단독 31 passed / 1 skipped. MQTT_* unset, .mam.env 미export.

```text
native: --session probe-isolated agent attach probe-codex
lib.sh shim: --session probe-isolated agent attach probe-codex
```
shim 경로는 실제 lib.sh를 source하되 WORKSPACE_ROOT/HOME/registry를 모두 임시 경로로 두고 MAM_NO_AUTOSTART=1로 실행했다.
|---|---|
| `herdr_session: probe-isolated` | rc 0, SERVER=probe-isolated |
| 해당 row는 있지만 `herdr_session` 없음 | rc 0, SERVER=default |
| legacy `herdr_server`만 존재 | rc 0, SERVER=default |
각각 `create_session.sh:392`–`:398`, `stop_session.sh:184`–`:198`과 일치한다.
로그: `/tmp/52dc1a69-selected.log`.
```sh
AGENT_PYTHON_BIN=/Users/godopu16/PuKi/laa/canary_projects/multi-agent-mux-wt/pr-46/.venv/bin/python PYTHONDONTWRITEBYTECODE=1 /Users/godopu16/PuKi/laa/canary_projects/multi-agent-mux-wt/pr-46/.venv/bin/python -m pytest -p no:cacheprovider -q --basetemp=/tmp/52dc1a69-selected tests/test_issue42_skill_blocks.py tests/test_tier2_component.py tests/test_orc_onboard.py tests/test_loop_cli.py tests/test_o1_rebuttal.py tests/test_version_consistency.py
```
독립 탐침: `/tmp/52dc1a69-probes.py`; 결과: `/tmp/52dc1a69-probes.log`.

**NOT PASS**.

- 변경 근거: `.agents/skills/multi-agent-mux-resume/SKILL.md:30`, `:60`, `:63`.
새 Workflow에서 source/export를 지웠으므로 verification의 bare `herdr agent get/read`도 같은 관점에서 확인한다.
- 변경 근거: `.agents/skills/multi-agent-mux-resume/SKILL.md:73`의 “write nothing”, `.agents/skills/multi-agent-mux-create/SKILL.md:164`의 “spawn and write nothing”.
- 재현: 임시 HOME/WORKSPACE_ROOT/AGENT_SESSIONS_YAML, 빈 합성 레지스트리, mock codex/herdr 및 호출을 기록하는 mock xattr를 준비한다.
- 실제: rc 0 및 `[dry-run] would spawn: ...`을 반환하면서 **xattr -d가 호출됐다**.
- 변경 근거: `tests/test_issue42_skill_blocks.py:121`–`:127`. `test_no_duplicate_block_left()`는 JSON의 class 문자열만 확인한다.
목록에도 해당 블록의 start/end/lang/sha를 정상 갱신하고 class=c, kind=example으로 기재한다.
새 파일 설명의 “when an (a) block comes back” 보장과 다르다. inventory를 갱신하지 않은 일반 문서 변경은 잘 거부하지만, 그것은 별도의 보장이다.
그러나 base create SKILL.md:263–266의 `create_session.sh --workspace "$WORKSPACE" ...
임시 입력에 대한 `_scan_exits()` 탐침 결과:
짧은 제품 경로는 `.agents/skills/` 아래다.
|---|---|
| session ID 해석 | resume_session.sh:111–112 → resolve_session_id.sh |
| ID 없는 Class A fresh-spawn | :122–130, :172–184; Class B는 :127–128에서 실패 |
| handle_startup_dialogs | :241, 이어서 :244 sleep |
| update_yaml_resumed.sh | :247–250; agent/workspace/server/cmd-full 등 옵션 전달.
- status JSON: status.sh:209–239의 sessions_detail 필드 및 reconcile.sh:1083–1091의 상위 필드와 일치. resume_state 값도 일치한다.
기존 `test_comp_docs_stop_examples_pass_agent`도 선택 스위트에서 통과했다(최소 3개, 모두 --agent).
결과 `/tmp/fbd52b0b-probes.log`.
결과 `/tmp/fbd52b0b-guard-probes.log`.

## 3. Evaluation of Review Items
### Item 1: Accuracy of Code Block Classification
- **Removed (a) Blocks (5 blocks)**:
1. `multi-agent-mux-resume` Workflow (base lines 59–118): Replaced by `resume_session.sh` entry point call. All original steps are accounted for in [`resume_session.sh`](file:///var/folders/q_/68sxgw3j073dgjg8wl9s08vw0000gn/T/mam-review/loop-20261003T222707Z-a0de27/1/.agents/skills/multi-agent-mux-resume/scripts/resume_session.sh):
- Session ID resolution: lines 111–130 (`resolve_session_id.sh`).
- Fresh-spawn fallback for Class A agents: lines 133–144.
- herdr alive check: lines 147–158 (updates YAML row and exits 0; attach is intentionally separate).
- Command construction (`CMD_FULL`): lines 172–197 (via adapter `resume-spec`/`spawn-spec`).
- Spawning session: line 237 (`herdr new-session`).
- Dialog handling: line 241 (`handle_startup_dialogs`).
- YAML update: lines 247–250 (`update_yaml_resumed.sh`).
2. `multi-agent-mux-stop` Pre-flight (base lines 38–63): Checked directly inside [`stop_session.sh`](file:///var/folders/q_/68sxgw3j073dgjg8wl9s08vw0000gn/T/mam-review/loop-20261003T222707Z-a0de27/1/.agents/skills/multi-agent-mux-stop/scripts/stop_session.sh) at lines 99, 140–143, and 184–188.
3. `multi-agent-mux-create` Pre-flight (base lines 35–52): Checked directly inside [`create_session.sh`](file:///var/folders/q_/68sxgw3j073dgjg8wl9s08vw0000gn/T/mam-review/loop-20261003T222707Z-a0de27/1/.agents/skills/multi-agent-mux-create/scripts/create_session.sh) at lines 111–156 (herdr installation, agent binary, auth, workspace).
4. `multi-agent-mux-create` Workflow (base lines 168–220): Checked and handled entirely by [`create_session.sh`](file:///var/folders/q_/68sxgw3j073dgjg8wl9s08vw0000gn/T/mam-review/loop-20261003T222707Z-a0de27/1/.agents/skills/multi-agent-mux-create/scripts/create_session.sh) (adapter `spawn-spec`, TUI readiness wait, exit code handling).
5. `multi-agent-mux-create` Manual YAML row append (base lines 226–252): Handled automatically by [`create_session.sh`](file:///var/folders/q_/68sxgw3j073dgjg8wl9s08vw0000gn/T/mam-review/loop-20261003T222707Z-a0de27/1/.agents/skills/multi-agent-mux-create/scripts/create_session.sh) at lines 491–610.
- **Retained (b) Blocks (5 blocks)**:
- `create` post-create checks, `monitor` agent-run polling loop, `resume` post-resume checks, `status` pre-flight checks, and `stop` post-stop checks. None of these have a standalone script entry point; they remain documented as manual/verification steps and provide input for Stage 3.
- **Conclusion**: Classification across all 37 blocks is verified with valid `file:line` evidence.
### Item 2: Option Tables, Exit Codes, and Documentation Corrections
- **Exit Code Tables**:
- `create_session.sh`: Codes 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 42, 43, `other`. Passthrough `4` from Python `SystemExit(4)` on duplicate running row (`create_session.sh:515`) is explicitly verified.
- `resume_session.sh`: Codes 0, 1, 2, `other`.
- `stop_session.sh`: Codes 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, `other`. Follow-up R1 (`e6a46cd`) and R2 (`8d26106`) verified that passthrough code `1` from post-stop registry update (`stop_session.sh:310`) is properly declared in `entry_points.passthrough` and explained in the table.
- **Documentation Discrepancy Corrections**:
1. `resume` Case 3: Accurately documents that an already-running session updates the row and exits 0 without auto-attaching or checking permissions (`SKILL.md:240`).
2. `stop` `--purge-conversation`: Clarified that `--yes` is required to avoid exit 3 (`SKILL.md:461`).
3. `status` `--json`: Aligned schema with `reconcile.sh` drift object and `sessions_detail` list (`SKILL.md:364-414`).
4. `create` `cmd_full`: Replaced static table with note that command line is determined by adapter `spawn-spec` (`SKILL.md:218`).
5. `create` nonexistent `agent-sessions-yaml-edit`: Reference removed (`SKILL.md:218`).
### Item 3: Agent Executability & Safety
- Each skill workflow now directs the agent to a clear, robust one-line CLI invocation.
- Destructive workflows (e.g., `--purge-conversation`) explicitly mandate interactive user confirmation before passing `--yes`.
- Error recovery guidance (e.g., inspecting status if post-kill or post-spawn updates fail) is thoroughly documented.
### Item 4: Robustness of Test Guard (`test_issue42_skill_blocks.py`)
- Code block parsing accurately accounts for variable fence lengths, indentation inside lists, and language tags.
- Exit code analysis (`_scan_exits`) skips comments and heredoc blocks to separate shell `exit N` from Python `SystemExit(N)`.
- Test suite validates that all 8 skills have inventories, all removed blocks have valid script replacements, all declared exit codes and passthroughs match script reality, and all evidence pointers reference valid file lines.
- Existing documentation tests in [`tests/test_tier2_component.py`](file:///var/folders/q_/68sxgw3j073dgjg8wl9s08vw0000gn/T/mam-review/loop-20261003T222707Z-a0de27/1/tests/test_tier2_component.py) continue to pass completely (42/42 passed).
### Item 5: Scope & Boundaries
- `git diff --stat` confirms only documentation (`SKILL.md`), test data (`tests/data/skill_code_blocks.json`), and test code (`tests/test_issue42_skill_blocks.py`) were changed.
- No product logic changed.
- No version bump.
### Item 6: Inquiry on `tests/test_issue10_13_purge.py` Baseline
- Executed `tests/test_issue10_13_purge.py` in the verification environment: 23 passed in 11.10 s.
- Confirmed that the 12 failures cited in PR description refer to existing Linux-specific CI baselines (Issue #28). On this macOS host, all tests pass cleanly and are unrelated to PR #46.
---
## 4. Test Suite Execution Results
All tests executed in the verification worktree (`/var/folders/q_/68sxgw3j073dgjg8wl9s08vw0000gn/T/mam-review/loop-20261003T222707Z-a0de27/1`) with `--basetemp=/tmp/pytest-pr46-review`:
| Test File | Result | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| `tests/test_issue42_skill_blocks.py` | 28 passed, 1 skipped* | 0.07 s |
| `tests/test_tier2_component.py` | 42 passed | 249.66 s |
| `tests/test_orc_onboard.py` | 13 passed | 2.59 s |
| `tests/test_loop_cli.py` | 20 passed | 37.19 s |
| `tests/test_o1_rebuttal.py` | 11 passed | 1.83 s |
| `tests/test_version_consistency.py` | 15 passed | 2.69 s |
| `tests/test_issue10_13_purge.py` | 23 passed | 11.10 s |
*\* Note: `test_claude_skills_link_resolves_to_agents_skills` skipped as expected because `.claude/skills` symlink is untracked and absent in the detached review worktree.*
**Total Tested**: 152 passed, 1 skipped, 0 failed.
---
## 5. Conclusion
All requirements for Issue #42 Stages 1 and 2 are cleanly and accurately satisfied without product regressions or scope creep.

## 3. Review Item Verification
### Item 1: Codex R1~R3 Resolution & Server Routing
- **Codex R1 (Server Routing on Attach & Verification)**:
- Addressed across [`multi-agent-mux-resume/SKILL.md`](file:///var/folders/q_/68sxgw3j073dgjg8wl9s08vw0000gn/T/mam-review/loop-20261003T230658Z-e7866a/1/.agents/skills/multi-agent-mux-resume/SKILL.md):
- Case 3 (line 80): updated to `herdr --session <server> agent attach <name>`.
- Workflow explanation (line 89): clearly notes that native `herdr` does not route on ambient environment variables, requiring explicit `--session <server>` for manual attach.
- When NOT to use (line 130): `herdr --session <server> agent attach <name>`.
- Verification block (lines 108–121): reads `SERVER` from the row's `herdr_session` (falling back to `'default'` via `.get('herdr_session') or 'default'`) and invokes `herdr --session "$SERVER" agent get/read`.
- Confirmed via `herdr --help` that native `herdr` defines global syntax `herdr --session <name> [options]`.
- **Codex R2 (`--dry-run` Semantics)**:
- In both [`multi-agent-mux-create/SKILL.md:58`](file:///var/folders/q_/68sxgw3j073dgjg8wl9s08vw0000gn/T/mam-review/loop-20261003T230658Z-e7866a/1/.agents/skills/multi-agent-mux-create/SKILL.md#L58) and [`multi-agent-mux-resume/SKILL.md:98`](file:///var/folders/q_/68sxgw3j073dgjg8wl9s08vw0000gn/T/mam-review/loop-20261003T230658Z-e7866a/1/.agents/skills/multi-agent-mux-resume/SKILL.md#L98), table entries now accurately document that `--dry-run` skips spawn and registry updates, but runs pre-spawn checks and strips macOS `com.apple.quarantine` attributes.
- **Codex R3 (Deleted Body Anti-Reintroduction Guard)**:
- Implemented [`test_no_deleted_body_came_back()`](file:///var/folders/q_/68sxgw3j073dgjg8wl9s08vw0000gn/T/mam-review/loop-20261003T230658Z-e7866a/1/tests/test_issue42_skill_blocks.py#L271-L275) scanning all current blocks in all 8 `SKILL.md` files against `DATA["removed"]` and `DATA["superseded"]`.
- Independent of `DATA["blocks"]`: re-registering a deleted block under class `c` or `b` will still be detected and fail the test.
- Self-verification in [`test_a_returned_body_is_caught_reindented_and_with_the_inventory_updated()`](file:///var/folders/q_/68sxgw3j073dgjg8wl9s08vw0000gn/T/mam-review/loop-20261003T230658Z-e7866a/1/tests/test_issue42_skill_blocks.py#L277-L288) ensures both exact `base_sha` and re-indented `base_fingerprint` matches trigger failures.
### Item 2: Robustness of Fingerprinting
- Fingerprint definition: `hashlib.sha256(" ".join(body.split()).encode()).hexdigest()[:12]`.
- Normalizes all internal whitespace and indentation, robustly detecting re-indented copies (e.g. within list items) without falsely flagging unrelated example blocks.
### Item 3: Inventory Classification Integrity
- Git diff of `tests/data/skill_code_blocks.json` shows only boundary shifts for the updated `resume` verification block (`start: 103, end: 128, sha: 8a468dfa43bd`). Its classification remains strictly `class: "b"`, `kind: "verification"`.
- Added `base_fingerprint` fields to `removed` blocks.
- Added `superseded` entry for the folded `create/SKILL.md` call block (`base_start: 263, class: "c", kind: "invocation"`).
- No block's class or kind was changed.
### Item 4: Scope & Documentation Refinements
- **Claude O4**: Accurately documented `MAM_KILL_ON_READY_TIMEOUT=1` for create exit 42 and `--purge-conversation` exception for stop exit 0.
- **Boundaries**: Strictly limited to documentation and test guard verification. Zero product code changes. Zero version bumps.
---

# Review: PR #46 round 2 @ 17eba09

- Role: Reviewer (grok)

- Identity: base `8d26106195a0a24621f140e76389d206332f84c0`, head `17eba0904ebbf54c1d2243ad61a6f2ba17263889`, tree `a0f1ffede44be7c86267a56b25871e1d081feafb`, 1 commit, clean worktree
- Verified read-only at `/var/folders/q_/68sxgw3j073dgjg8wl9s08vw0000gn/T/mam-review/loop-20261003T230658Z-e7866a/1`. Main stayed at `45d1621`. No product file was edited.
- `git diff --stat 8d26106..HEAD`: 5 files, +93/−19. `git diff --check` is clean.
The commit is the three skill docs (create, resume, stop), `tests/data/skill_code_blocks.json`, and `tests/test_issue42_skill_blocks.py`. No script, no Python product module, no version line. Frontmatter stays `4.8.2`.
Round 1 on `8d26106` was PASS from this reviewer. Codex R1–R3 are the items this commit answers. They are closed.
## R1 — attach names the server
`resume_session.sh` is run as a child (`SKILL.md:60`). Its `export HERDR_SESSION_NAME` (`resume_session.sh:137`) ends with that process. Native `herdr --help` documents `--session <name>` as "Use or create a named persistent session" and lists one env var, `HERDR_CONFIG_PATH`. It does not list `HERDR_SESSION_NAME`. `herdr agent attach --help` is `herdr agent attach <TARGET>`. A fake `herdr` on `PATH` recorded `herdr --session probe-srv agent attach probe-name` as those five arguments, and `HERDR_SESSION_NAME=probe-srv herdr agent attach probe-name` as three arguments with no `--session`. The shim that does inject the variable is `lib.sh:_real_herdr` (`255-268`), and only after `lib.sh` is sourced: an explicit `--session` is passed through, otherwise a non-default `HERDR_SESSION_NAME` is prepended.
The skill now says that in Case 3 (`SKILL.md:30`), the workflow paragraph (`:63`), and When NOT (`:139`): `herdr --session <server> agent attach <name>`, with `<server>` the row's `herdr_session`. The verification fence reads that field and passes it:
```bash
SERVER=$(python3 -c "... [0].get('herdr_session') or 'default')")
herdr --session "$SERVER" agent get "$SESSION_NAME"
herdr --session "$SERVER" agent read "$SESSION_NAME" --source visible --lines 30
```
(`SKILL.md:106-126`). Against temp YAML, a row with `herdr_session: isolated` prints `isolated`. After a successful resume, `update_yaml_resumed.sh:154-156` writes `herdr_session` (and `herdr_server`) from the server the script used, so this post-resume read is the server the resume ran on.
## R2 — `--dry-run` is not "write nothing"
Both option rows now say: no spawn and no registry (YAML/DB) update; the checks before that exit still run; on macOS they clear the agent binary's quarantine attribute.
- create: `xattr -d com.apple.quarantine` is at `create_session.sh:194-196`, after preflight and before the dry-run exit at `280-282`. `spawn` is called at `288`, so dry-run neither spawns nor reaches the YAML write.
- resume: the same `xattr` is at `resume_session.sh:167-169`. The dry-run that prints the command exits at `225-227`, before `_herdr new-session` (`237`) and before `update_yaml_resumed.sh` (`247`). The Darwin test is `uname` = `Darwin` and the path must be a file.
## R3 — a deleted body stays deleted
`fingerprint` (`test_issue42_skill_blocks.py:132-134`) is sha256 of the body with all whitespace collapsed, first 12 hex digits. `test_no_deleted_body_came_back` (`150-153`) compares every current fence with `DATA["removed"]` and `DATA["superseded"]` by exact `base_sha` or that fingerprint. It does not read `DATA["blocks"]`, so listing the returned body as class c does not hide it. `test_a_returned_body_is_caught_reindented_and_with_the_inventory_updated` (`156-166`) checks both: the exact sha hits, and a reindented body with a dummy sha still hits.
A different example does not match. The fingerprint is the whole fence, not a substring, so an ordinary edit of another example changes the words and stays off the list. The only edit that fails this test is putting a deleted body back, including reindented. The inventory sha lock still requires a JSON update when any fence's text changes; that is the other test, and it is unchanged.
`test_superseded_blocks_are_recorded_and_replaced` records the folded create call. Its `base_sha` `ceb96a8c1293` and `base_fingerprint` `b6a8a25279c5` match the fence at `45d1621` create `SKILL.md:263-266` (the `create_session.sh --workspace --agent --role --session` call). The replacement `bash .agents/skills/multi-agent-mux-create/scripts/create_session.sh` is contained in the Workflow fence. Count: 33 current + 5 removed + 1 superseded = 39, and 39 − 2 fences that were not in the original 37 = 37. Current class counts stay 28 c and 5 b.
## Inventory and the other doc lines
Pairing each block with the `8d26106` inventory by skill, note, class, and kind is equal. One span moved: resume verification `103-124` → `103-128`, still class `b`, kind `verification`. No class or kind flipped.
create exit 42 now includes the live process with `MAM_KILL_ON_READY_TIMEOUT=1` (`create/SKILL.md:179`). That is the `else` at `create_session.sh:392-398`: alive and the knob unset preserves the session; otherwise exit 42 and the trap rolls it back.
stop exit 0 now says the already-`stopped` no-op does not apply to `--purge-conversation` (`stop/SKILL.md:61`). The script no-ops only when purge is off (`stop_session.sh:184-188`). With purge and without `--yes` it exits 3 (`192-198`).
Codex C2 and claude O2/O3 are named in the brief as follow-ups and are not in this diff. The exit tables still match the scanners that landed in round 1; this commit does not change those scanners.
## Checks
Snapshot, MQTT variables unset, no `.mam.env` exported, interpreter `/Users/godopu16/PuKi/laa/canary_projects/multi-agent-mux-wt/pr-46/.venv/bin/python`, `--basetemp` under `/tmp/c564follow.*` (removed after the run):
`132 passed, 1 skipped in 293.02s` — `tests/test_issue42_skill_blocks.py`, `tests/test_tier2_component.py`, `tests/test_orc_onboard.py`, `tests/test_loop_cli.py`, `tests/test_o1_rebuttal.py`, `tests/test_version_consistency.py`.
The skip is `test_claude_skills_link_resolves_to_agents_skills`: `.claude/skills` is absent in this worktree snapshot.
## Notes that do not change the verdict
- No matching row: the SERVER one-liner raises `IndexError` and prints nothing. In a shell without `set -e`, `SERVER` is empty and the next command is `herdr --session ""`. The block is the check after a resume that wrote the row.
- `herdr_session` missing, empty, or null prints `default`, including when the row has `herdr_server: isolated`. `resolve_herdr_session` (`lib.sh:1601-1604`) would use that alias, then the workspace `mam-<slug>`. A successful resume has already written `herdr_session` (`update_yaml_resumed.sh:154-156`), which is the case this fence is for.
- Resume's already-running dry-run exits at `resume_session.sh:148-150`, before the quarantine `xattr`. The option row describes the path that resolves the command and exits at `225-227`.
- `stop/SKILL.md:38` and `:70` still say an already-`stopped` row is always exit 0. The table at `:61` and the script at `184-188` keep the purge exception. The state machine at `:84` labels the re-stop edge "stop default".

No script, no Python product module, no `VERSION` file, and `tests/test_issue10_13_purge.py` is absent from the diff. Skill frontmatter stays `version: 4.8.2`.
## 1. Classification
Base `45d1621` has 37 fenced blocks. Head keeps 33 (28 class c, 5 class b) and records 5 removed class (a) blocks. Each removed body was read from `git show 45d1621`. The steps that the scripts actually perform are still done by the entry script; the steps the old fences invented are corrected in the prose that replaced them.
- **resume Workflow, base 59–118.** `resolve_session_id.sh` is `resume_session.sh:111-112`. Class A empty UUID sets `FRESH_SPAWN=1` (`agy|hermes|opencode|codex`, lines 123-125); claude/grok exit 1 at line 128. Herdr already up updates the row and exits 0 (`147-158`); there is no `herdr agent attach`. Command resolution is `spawn-spec` or `resume-spec` (`172-197`), then binary checks (`200-210`), `_herdr new-session` (`237`), `handle_startup_dialogs` (`241`), and `update_yaml_resumed.sh` (`247-250`). The deleted fence's `exec herdr agent attach` and trailing attach, and its `$CLAUDE_ID_FLAG` command line, are the mismatches R1–R4. The replacement says the script never attaches and names `herdr agent attach <name>` (`SKILL.md:30`, `:63`, `:135`).
- **stop pre-flight, base 38–63.** YAML missing is exit 1 (`stop_session.sh:99`). Unregistered session is exit 1 (`140-143`). Already `stopped` and not purging is exit 0 (`184-188`). The fence's `--force-no-yaml` is accepted by no parser arm (`75-90`). The workflow examples that call the entry point stayed (`SKILL.md:42-55`).
- **create pre-flight, base 35–52.** The script checks the selected agent: workspace directory, `has_real_herdr`, CLI on `PATH`, then that agent's auth (`create_session.sh:111-156`). The fence checked both `claude` and `agy`. The `has_real_herdr` versus `command -v` pitfall remains as prose (`SKILL.md:33`).
- **create Workflow, base 168–220.** Existing herdr name is exit 3 (`166-168`), the command comes from `spawn-spec` (`207-217`), spawn is `259-276`, TUI wait exits 42 (`361-398`), pane capture is `410-412`. The fence's exit 1, `sleep`, and hard-coded `claude` with no flags are C1–C3; the new summary and exit table use the script's codes.
- **create YAML append, base 226–252.** `atomic_dump_yaml` writes the row (`491-610`), including `pane.cmd_full`, `attach_command`, and `kill_command` (`532-537`). The lib.sh shim note sits under Output format (`SKILL.md:147`).
The five kept class (b) blocks are procedures the entry scripts do not offer:
- create `217-239`: post-create `herdr agent get` / YAML / TUI checks, no evidence script.
- resume `103-124`: the same kind of post-resume checks.
- stop `127-145`: post-stop checks.
- status `30-34`: `has_real_herdr` plus `command -v python3`. `status.sh:22` only refuses a missing YAML. With `MAM_NO_AUTOSTART=1` (`status.sh:13`) a host without herdr is reported dead, so the herdr check is agent-side. Kept.
- monitor `182-210`: the supervising agent's own loop (`sleep 30`, report only new drifts, hard rules). `reconcile.sh:41` polls every `RECONCILE_POLL_INTERVAL`, default 15, which is a different loop. The block is still agent-side guidance, so class (b) is right. The inventory note M1 treats the two sleeps as one disagreement; that note is loose, and the keep decision is right.
## 2. Option and exit tables, and the five corrections
Parsers match the tables.
- create options `SKILL.md:157-170` are the `case` arms at `create_session.sh:74-93`, including `--session|--name`, `--auto-trust` / `--no-auto-trust`, and the `--isolate` no-op.
- resume options `SKILL.md:65-73` are `resume_session.sh:35-47`.
- stop has no separate option table. The three workflow calls pass `--session`, `--agent`, `--reason`, and `--purge-conversation --yes`. The parser (`stop_session.sh:75-90`) also takes `--herdr-session` / `--herdr-workspace` (named in the skill intro) and rejects `--mode` / `--capture-id` / `--graceful` with exit 2 (`84-86`), which the exit-2 row states.
Exit rows match the paths, under `set -euo pipefail` in all three scripts.
| Skill | Script | What the row says |
|---|---|---|
| resume 0 | `150`, `158`, `227` | dry-run, or already running so only the row is updated |
| resume 1 | `128`, `204`, `209`; `update_yaml_resumed.sh:47` | no saved session for claude/grok, binary missing or not executable, and the YAML helper's "file not found" passes through |
| resume 2 | `46`, `50-56`, `73`, `77`, `104`, `195`, `221`; helper `:42`, `:46`, `:74` | bad args, cwd mismatch or gone, binding refused, whitespace, and the helper's bad-arg exit passes through |
| resume other | no rollback trap | a later step's code, including a YAML helper code other than 1 or 2 |
| stop 0 | `188` (and `--help` `88`) | stopped, or already stopped |
| stop 1 | `99`, `142`, `SystemExit(1)` at `310` | YAML missing or not registered before the stop; after the kill chain, the row disappeared |
| stop 2 | `86`, `89`, `95`, `98`, `121` | bad args, retired flags, or `--agent` not resolvable |
| stop 3 | `198` | purge without `--yes` |
| stop 4 | `281` | purge aborted, herdr still alive, registry left in place |
| stop other | passthrough declared at `:310` | a registry-update code other than that `SystemExit(1)` |
| create 0 | `282`, and the success path after `trap - EXIT` at `709` | created, or dry-run |
| create 1 | `111-156` before spawn; `636` and `659` after | pre-flight, or brief write / injection rc other than 4 (the EXIT trap rolls the session back) |
| create 2 | `92`, `104-108`, `234`, `245` | bad args, worktree binding refused, whitespace in a forwarded path |
| create 3 | `168` | herdr name already exists |
| create 4 | `SystemExit(4)` at `515` | a `running` row of that name; the trap then rolls the herdr session back |
| create 42 / 43 | `398` / trap `348` | TUI never ready and the process is gone; rollback kill failed and the session is still running |
The five corrections match the scripts.
- **Case 3.** Already-running resume updates the row and exits 0 (`resume_session.sh:147-158`). `SKILL.md:30` and `:63` say it does not attach and does not check permission flags.
- **Purge.** `--purge-conversation` without `--yes` exits 3 (`stop_session.sh:192-198`). `SKILL.md:57` says to pass `--yes` only after the user has confirmed it.
- **status `--json`.** The example keys (`SKILL.md:74-104`) are the reconcile object (`reconcile.sh:1081-1088`: `timestamp`, `yaml_path`, `herdr_sessions_alive`, `herdr_confirmed`, `drifts`, `actions`) plus `sessions_detail` built at `status.sh:213-236`. `resume_state` is `yes` / `MISSING` / `scan` / `no` (`status.sh:71-77` for claude; the other agents return `yes`, `MISSING`, or `no`).
- **cmd_full.** `SKILL.md:185` says `pane.cmd_full` is the adapter `spawn-spec`. The claude contract is `claude --dangerously-skip-permissions --session-id <uuid>` (`tests/test_a4_adapter_contract.py:335`), and the script fallback is the same shape (`create_session.sh:210`). The old bare `claude` table is gone.
- **yaml-edit.** No `agent-sessions-yaml-edit` remains under `.agents/skills`. `SKILL.md:185` says the script writes the row.
C6 and R7 are the review fixes already on this head. The create header comment `exit 4` (`create_session.sh:19`) is a comment, so the counter skips it; the real code is `SystemExit(4)` at line 515, and the table lists 4. Stop's `sys.exit(7)` (`stop_session.sh:139`) is inside `python3 -c`, and the lookbehind `(?<![\w.])` does not treat it as a shell `exit`. The post-stop `SystemExit(1)` at line 310 is the exit-1 row's second sentence.
## 3. An agent can still do the work from the doc
Each removed procedure is one entry-point call plus the option and exit tables. create `SKILL.md:155`, resume `:63`, and stop `:91-98` still name the steps the script runs (name derivation, spawn-spec, dialogs, TUI wait, YAML write, capture, purge, delegate events). Attach stays a separate command. Purge still requires a human `--yes` (`stop/SKILL.md:57`). Onboarding that never receives `started` keeps the session and marks the job `error` (`create_session.sh:675-699`); the skill says so at `SKILL.md:87-94`, and the process still exits 0 because the session was created.
## 4. Guard test
`tests/test_issue42_skill_blocks.py` fails when a fence's start, end, lang, or sha256[:12] drifts, when a class (a) block is present, when the replacement line `bash .agents/skills/<script>` is missing from a remaining fence, or when the exit table's numeric rows disagree with literal `exit N` plus heredoc `SystemExit(N)`. Comments are skipped (`:75-76`). Heredocs are skipped for shell `exit` and scanned for `SystemExit` (`:68-74`). `sys.exit` does not match (`:54`). `test_literal_exit_rule_on_base_scripts` locks create `{0,1,2,3,42,43}`, stop `{0,1,2,3,4}`, resume `{0,1,2}`.
The sha lock is the inventory: an edit inside a fence has to update the JSON, and prose outside a fence does not. `test_evidence_points_into_existing_files` (`:174-179`) checks that the path exists and the line range is inside the file. It does not read the cited lines. The citations checked above do point at the steps they name.
`test_comp_docs_stop_examples_pass_agent` still requires at least three `stop_session.sh` examples in the stop skill, each containing `--agent` (`tests/test_tier2_component.py:816-832`). The three workflow calls (`stop/SKILL.md:44-54`) all pass `--agent`.
## 5. Scope
Product scripts and Python are unchanged. No version bump. `tests/test_version_consistency.py` is in the run below.
## 6. The "12 purge failures" claim
`tests/test_issue10_13_purge.py` is not in `45d1621..HEAD`. This PR cannot be the source of that file's results. On this macOS host that file has been passing; the 12 failures belong to the Linux run called #28. The full suite was left to the orchestrator.
## Checks
Snapshot, MQTT variables unset, no `.mam.env` exported, interpreter `/Users/godopu16/PuKi/laa/canary_projects/multi-agent-mux-wt/pr-46/.venv/bin/python`, `--basetemp` under `/tmp/d50follow.*` (removed after the run):
`129 passed, 1 skipped in 294.83s` — `tests/test_issue42_skill_blocks.py`, `tests/test_tier2_component.py`, `tests/test_orc_onboard.py`, `tests/test_loop_cli.py`, `tests/test_o1_rebuttal.py`, `tests/test_version_consistency.py`.
The skip is `test_claude_skills_link_resolves_to_agents_skills`: `.claude/skills` is absent in this worktree snapshot, which the test skips on purpose (`test_issue42_skill_blocks.py:191-192`).
## Notes that do not change the verdict
- The create Output format sketch (`SKILL.md:140`) shows `cmd_full: claude --dangerously-skip-permissions` without `--session-id`. The following sentence (`:185`) assigns that field to `spawn-spec`. The status `--json` example includes `--session-id` (`status/SKILL.md:100`). For claude the script also writes a `tui` object and `claude_session_id_own` (`create_session.sh:540-552`); the sketch omits them. The agent is told not to append the row by hand.
- create exit 42 also runs when the process is still alive and `MAM_KILL_ON_READY_TIMEOUT=1` (`create_session.sh:392-398`). The default branch is the one the table describes: the process is gone.
- `resume_session.sh:146` still comments "print warning or attach". The body at `147-158` only updates the row. The skill text matches the body. The comment is product code, outside this diff.
- status `SKILL.md:26` still says the monitor polls every 30s. That sentence is unchanged in this diff. The script default is 15s (`reconcile.sh:41`); the 30s figure is the agent runbook's own sleep (`monitor/SKILL.md:191`).

Before doing anything, verify the environment:

`create_session.sh` checks the environment itself and exits 1 if anything is missing: herdr installed (`has_real_herdr`), the agent CLI in `PATH`, the agent's authentication, and the workspace directory. In your own scripts, test for herdr with lib.sh's `has_real_herdr`, NOT `command -v herdr` / `type -P herdr`: once lib.sh is sourced the former matches its `herdr()` function and the latter matches the `.mam/shim` wrapper, so both pass on a host with no herdr (B-3).

`create_session.sh` does the whole flow: pre-flight, the session name (`derive_session_name`), the agent command (adapter `spawn-spec`), spawn, start-up dialogs, waiting for the TUI, pane capture, the YAML row, and the optional job submission.
| Option | Meaning |
|---|---|
| `--workspace` | Required. Project directory |
| `--agent` | Required. `claude`, `agy`, `hermes`, `grok`, `opencode`, `codex` |
| `--role` | Required. Assigned role |
| `--session` (`--name`) | herdr session name (default: `derive_session_name`) |
| `--wrapper` | claude only: use the `~/.local/bin/<session>` wrapper even if it is not present |
| `--dry-run` | Print what would be spawned; no spawn and no registry (YAML/DB) update. The checks before it still run, and on macOS they remove the quarantine attribute from the agent binary |
| `--herdr-session` (`--herdr-server`) | Isolated herdr server name |
| `--herdr-workspace` | herdr workspace label recorded in the registry (a label only, never a socket) |
| `--submit-job PROMPT` | Register a delegated job with this prompt and send it to the new agent |
| `--onboard` / `--no-onboard` | Submit the onboarding job (default: on) |
| `--auto-trust` / `--no-auto-trust` | Answer a start-up directory-trust dialog or leave it to a human (`MAM_AUTO_TRUST`; default: answer) |
| `--isolate` / `--no-isolate` | Legacy, no-op |
| Exit | Meaning |
|---|---|
| 0 | Created; or `--dry-run` |
| 1 | Pre-flight failure, nothing was spawned: workspace not a directory, herdr not installed, agent CLI not in `PATH`, agent not authenticated. After spawn: the task brief could not be written or the instruction injection failed (the session is rolled back) |
| 2 | Bad arguments; control-plane binding refused for a worktree; whitespace in a control-plane path that must be forwarded |
| 3 | A herdr session of that name already exists (`multi-agent-mux-resume`, or `multi-agent-mux-stop` first) |
| 4 | The YAML already has a `running` row of that name. The YAML write raises it after spawn, and the herdr session is rolled back |
| 42 | The TUI never became ready and the process is gone, or it is alive and `MAM_KILL_ON_READY_TIMEOUT=1` (rolled back) |
| 43 | The rollback could not kill the herdr session; it is still running |
| other | A later step failed and its code is passed through. The EXIT trap (`cleanup_herdr_on_error`) rolls back the herdr session and closes the onboarding job as `cancelled`; if that kill fails, the exit is 43 instead |
## Registering the session in agent-sessions.yaml
After spawn, append a new `herdr_sessions[]` entry to `.mam/agent-sessions.yaml`:
```yaml
- name: <SESSION_NAME>
provider: <from TUI status>
account: <from TUI status>
version: <from TUI status>
start_command: "HERDR_SESSION_NAME=<herdr_session> herdr new-session -d -s <SESSION_NAME> -x 140 -y 40 -c <WORKSPACE> <CMD_FULL>"
attach_command: "HERDR_SESSION_NAME=<herdr_session> herdr agent attach <SESSION_NAME>"
kill_command: "HERDR_SESSION_NAME=<herdr_session> herdr kill-session -t <SESSION_NAME>"
# All three require `source .agents/skills/lib.sh` first — `new-session`/`kill-session`
# are tmux-compat pseudo-commands the shim translates, and `HERDR_SESSION_NAME` is what
# the shim reads to route to the right isolated herdr *session* (real `herdr` has no
# env-var-based scoping of its own; `herdr_session: default` needs no prefix at all).
```
`cmd_full` per agent (this is the actual command line in the pane, not the resume command):
| agent | cmd_full |
|---|---|
| claude (interactive) | `claude` |
| agy (interactive) | `agy --dangerously-skip-permissions` |
Use the `agent-sessions-yaml-edit` script in `scripts/` to safely append (preserves comments + format):
```bash
bash .agents/skills/multi-agent-mux-create/scripts/create_session.sh \
--workspace "$WORKSPACE" --agent "$AGENT" --role "$ROLE" --session "$SESSION_NAME"
```
The script handles the YAML append, pane capture, and the `last_visible_status` placeholder.
`create_session.sh` writes the `herdr_sessions[]` row itself (the format is in **Output format** above); do not append it by hand. `pane.cmd_full` is the actual command line in the pane, decided by the adapter `spawn-spec` (`lib_py/agents`), not the resume command.

`resume_session.sh` does the whole flow: original-cwd check, control-plane binding, session-id resolution (`resolve_session_id.sh`), the herdr-alive check, the agent command (adapter `resume-spec`, or `spawn-spec` for a Class A fresh spawn), spawn, start-up dialogs, and the YAML update (`update_yaml_resumed.sh`, which also publishes a `progress "resumed"` event when the row has a `delegate_job_id`). It never attaches; attaching is a separate step that names the server, because the server the script exports does not reach the calling shell and the native `herdr` binary does not route on environment variables: `herdr --session <server> agent attach <name>` (`<server>` = the `--herdr-session` you passed, or the row's `herdr_session`).

| Option | Meaning |

|---|---|

| `--workspace` | Required. The directory the session ran in (its row's `pane.cwd`; a different path is exit 2) |

| `--agent` | Required. `claude`, `agy`, `hermes`, `grok`, `opencode`, `codex` |

| `--herdr-session` (`--herdr-server`) | Isolated herdr server name |

| `--auto-trust` / `--no-auto-trust` | Answer a start-up directory-trust dialog or leave it to a human (`MAM_AUTO_TRUST`; default: answer) |
| `--dry-run` | Resolve the command and print it; no spawn and no registry (YAML/DB) update. The checks before it still run, and on macOS they remove the quarantine attribute from the agent binary |
| Exit | Meaning |

|---|---|

| 0 | Resumed; or already running, so only the row was updated (no attach); or `--dry-run` |

| 1 | From the checks before spawn, nothing was changed: no saved session for claude/grok (use `multi-agent-mux-create` first), agent binary missing or not executable. **The YAML update after spawn (`update_yaml_resumed.sh`) also exits 1** (YAML not found) |
| 2 | From the checks before spawn, nothing was changed: bad arguments, `--workspace` differs from the original cwd or it no longer exists, control-plane binding refused, whitespace in the control-plane path. **The YAML update after spawn also exits 2** (bad arguments) |
| other | A later step failed (herdr spawn, start-up dialogs, YAML update) and its code is passed through. resume does not roll back |
A non-zero exit after the spawn can leave the herdr session running while the row is still `stopped`. Before retrying or creating a new session, check with `multi-agent-mux-status`. The `ERROR:` line on stderr tells the two apart: the pre-spawn checks' messages are in `resume_session.sh` (lines 50-223).

## Original cwd only (Issue #21 phase 2)
A session is resumed only in the directory it ran in (its row's `pane.cwd`): the conversation is keyed by that directory, and a class A agent (agy/hermes/opencode/codex) would otherwise start a new conversation in the wrong tree.

- **`claude -r` requires the SAME project directory** — if the workspace path differs from when the session was created, claude will create a new project dir key (`-home-...-different-name`) and put the resume in a different location. Always `-c` (cd to workspace) before running.
- **agy's `--conversation` flag name varies by version** — older versions used `--resume` or `-r`. Check `agy --help | grep -E "conversation|resume"` and use the right flag. v1.0.x: `--conversation`.

- **The first message after resume might re-trigger TUI dialogs** — if the original session was created with `--dangerously-skip-permissions`, those flags are NOT persisted; you must re-apply them on resume. The script above re-passes them.

- **Don't resume if the session is brand new and empty** — `multi-agent-mux-create` already set up an empty container; sending a probe message ("init") is the right way to materialize a session id, NOT `claude -r` with a placeholder.

- **`agy --conversation <id>` will fail if the conversation was deleted from disk** — check `~/.gemini/antigravity-cli/conversations/<uuid>.db` exists before attempting resume. If missing, the conversation is gone; you need a fresh session via `multi-agent-mux-create`.

- **리뷰 (병합 워크스페이스)**: 1회차(@8d26106) claude·agy·grok PASS, codex NOT PASS(R1 분리된 attach 안내가 격리 서버를 잃음, R2 `--dry-run` "무쓰기" 설명이 실제와 다름, R3 지운 블록이 목록에 다시 등록되면 돌아와도 가드가 못 잡음). 17eba09 에서 수정(문서·테스트 데이터·가드 테스트만, 제품 코드 변경 없음). 2회차 **4/4 PASS**.

SKILL.md files with its class - (b) a procedure no script offers yet, (c) an

already does them. These tests fail when a SKILL.md block changes without the
