|

- Theme state: `'light' | 'dark' | 'system'`
|
|
- Persistence: `localStorage` (`theme` key) + `document.documentElement` class/attribute (`dark`)

- System sync: `window.matchMedia('(prefers-color-scheme: dark)')` listener
|
|
- Default behavior: Respect system color scheme preference, allow user manual override via toggle button, persist setting.
|
